All frequently asked questionsEquine laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support tissue recovery and manage discomfort as part of a veterinary care plan. It is non-invasive and is used alongside—not instead of—diagnosis, rehabilitation and appropriate veterinary treatment. Results depend on the condition, dose and individual horse.
Questrian Pro has 12 anatomy-specific protocols and a touchscreen for targeted equine care. Questrian Recovery — new for 2026 — has three fixed modes, a broad emitting plate and intuitive two-button controls for routine post-exercise muscle comfort. Choose Pro for veterinarian-directed treatment; choose Recovery for everyday muscle support.
Both devices are portable and rechargeable for use in a suitable barn environment, with programs you can follow yourself — Pro's 12 protocols are vet-created, Recovery's three modes are simple fixed presets. Read the device manual, wear wavelength-appropriate protective eyewear and follow the safety instructions. Ask your veterinarian to guide treatment selection for an injury or diagnosed condition.
Questrian Pro includes targeted tendon and ligament protocols. A suspected injury needs veterinary diagnosis and a rehabilitation plan before laser therapy is considered. Recovery is intended for routine muscle support, not a substitute for professional treatment of tendon, ligament or wound conditions.
Both devices ship free to the lower 48 states and come with guided programs you can run yourself, lifetime technical support and a one-year manufacturer warranty for defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Submit a support request through our contact page for device questions or warranty assistance. See the warranty page for full terms.
